The latest MX Book Of New Sherlock Holmes Stories Part XX11 is now on sale (paperback £20.65), containing more untold cases from 1877 to 1887, including Tim Symonds’ short-story The Strange Death Of An Art Dealer set in England’s capital, a tale of blackmail at the highest level. The adventure starts with the unexpected arrival of a panic-stricken King of Scandinavia just as Watson returns to 221B Baker Street from a walk: ‘As I entered the hallway, and without the slightest warning, my frame was suddenly shoved violently to one side, spinning me like a coracle in the wake of a twelve-thousand-tonner Cunarder. I looked up in time to see a figure fly past me and up the stairs, his blue cloak flapping like the wings of a giant Urvogel.’
